In Bayview, one of Toronto’s most established addresses, Studio Kimi led the interior design of a custom new build: a formal limestone home with a mansard roof and a reflecting pool off the rear terrace. The aim was scale without coldness. The rooms keep their grandeur but still feel lived-in.
One material language runs through the house: book-matched marble, warm brass and gold detailing, crystal lighting and rich wood. The kitchen pairs two-tone cabinetry, charcoal and cream lined with fine gold inlay, with a white marble waterfall island under a coffered ceiling. The living room sits between two crystal chandeliers, anchored by a marble fireplace. The study is wrapped floor to ceiling in wood panelling. The primary ensuite turns bright and graphic, with white Calacatta marble, a black soaking tub and a bold geometric floor.
The same detailing carries into every room: a glass-front dressing room in macassar ebony, a guest ensuite clad in book-matched stone, and a home gym set into the lower level.
