A two-storey great room, reimagined as the warm heart of the home.
This Mississauga home had the architecture — a soaring vaulted ceiling and a tall arched window — but the great room felt cold and unfinished. We kept the volume and rebuilt around it with light, texture, and a calm that invites you to stay.
Exposed oak beams bring the ceiling down to a human scale, and custom millwork — floating oak shelving that frames the arched passage between the living and family rooms — gives the space its anchor and quiet storage.
We furnished and styled both rooms end to end, sourcing every piece: cream upholstered sofas, soft bouclé swivel chairs, light oak tables, and a single dark botanical artwork that grounds the room.
Off the primary suite, a walk-in closet in warm walnut and oak carries the same material story — considered, tactile, and built to last.
