We’re Studio Kimi, a residential interior design studio based in Mississauga and Oakville. We work with homeowners in Mississauga, Oakville, and Burlington who are ready to stop living in a space that doesn’t feel right.

The first thing we do is listen. What’s actually bothering you? How long has it been going on? What have you already tried? Most homeowners have a pretty clear sense of their problem — they just don’t know what’s causing it, or what it would take to really solve it. That’s where we come in.

One of the biggest mistakes we see is homeowners going straight to a contractor without a proper design and plan. The contractor builds what he thinks you mean. The finishes are fine. The layout still doesn’t work. You spent the money and the space still feels off.

We make sure that doesn’t happen. We design first — space planning, layout, kitchen and bathroom design, millwork and cabinetry, materials, lighting, sourcing. Then we manage the trades through construction. You get a complete design before anything gets built, and Kookdo leads the project personally from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.

A renovation is one of the biggest investments you’ll make in your home. It should feel like it.
