Duncan

Duncan is a whole-house design and build in South-East Oakville — Studio Kimi took it from concept through construction, all under one roof.

This was a full reimagining of the home, designed as one cohesive whole rather than a room-by-room update. The palette is light and warm — pale oak, soft white stone, and clean, quiet lines — for a home that feels bright, calm, and current.

The open kitchen anchors the main floor: a generous island, full-height cabinetry, and an uncluttered, material-led look made for everyday living and easy hosting.

The scope ran through the whole house — the kitchen and sunroom on the main floor, the primary suite with its walk-in closet and ensuite, additional bedrooms and bathrooms, and a finished lower level — each space designed to belong to the same home.

From the first layout to the final finish, one team made and managed every decision, so the whole house holds together instead of feeling pieced together room by room.

Where the home once felt dark and dated, it now feels light and current — a whole-house renovation in South-East Oakville that works as one piece, from the kitchen island to the basement.
