Gregwood
Gregwood is a primary ensuite and walk-in closet renovation in Lorne Park, one of Mississauga's older, leafier neighbourhoods. The owners wanted the top of the house to work as a private retreat — a suite they would use slowly at the start and end of the day, not a room they passed through.
The brief was an ensuite that felt hotel-calibre but still personal. We designed the ensuite and the walk-in closet as one continuous wing — bath, shower, vanity, and storage planned together around a warm, layered palette of charcoal cabinetry, brass, marble, and a two-tone patterned tile floor.
A sculptural freestanding tub with a polished mirror finish sits at the centre under a crystal chandelier, framed by tall windows that pull the garden in.
Around it: a glass-enclosed marble shower, a charcoal floating double vanity with backlit mirrors and brass fixtures, and dark cabinetry that carries through to the walk-in closet. The two-tone tile floor — a patterned field bordered in black — anchors the room and ties the ensuite to the closet beyond.
The walk-in closet continues the same dark cabinetry — full-height hanging, drawers, and display shelving planned around how the owners actually dress, so everyday storage stays out of sight.
Studio Kimi designed and built Gregwood in-house: the layout and drawings, the material, tile, and lighting choices, and the construction. One team ran all of it, so the millwork, plumbing, and finishes line up across the suite.
The finished suite feels like a calm, hotel-like retreat, and it lifts how the whole home feels.
An investment range of $100,000 to $150,000.
