Why Studio Kimi
Mississauga is not one neighbourhood.
It’s 1960s semi-detached on Lakeshore. Mid-century Mineola. Contemporary builds in Port Credit. Whole-home renovations in Lorne Park and Sheridan Park. Each comes with different bones, codes, and limits.
The best results come from designing the whole home at once — so the kitchen, the living spaces, and the primary suite speak the same language. We’ve done that work across Mississauga, concept to completion, one point of contact.

Detailed DesignFull drawing set for every room in scope: floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical, plumbing, millwork, finishes, and hardware schedule.

- Semi-detached, load-bearing walls.Opening up the main floor often needs structural engineering and City of Mississauga permit drawings. We handle both.
- 1960s and ’70s ranches.Lower ceilings, smaller windows. We redesign for light and flow without raising the roof.

How long does a home renovation in Mississauga take?
Design phase 8–12 weeks for a whole home. Construction 4–9 months depending on scope. City of Mississauga permitting typically adds 6–10 weeks.
Do I need a permit to renovate in Mississauga?
Cosmetic work doesn’t. Structural changes, plumbing and electrical relocation, and additions do. We handle the permit drawings and submit on your behalf.
Do you only design kitchens?
No. We design whole homes — kitchens, living spaces, primary suites, bathrooms, and additions. The kitchen is often the anchor, but the work is the whole home.
Can you work with my contractor, or do you bring your own?
As we are also a design-build studio, we bring our own trades. We’re also happy to work with your contractor of choice.
Do you offer virtual consultations for Mississauga clients?
Yes, for initial conversations. The site measurement and design refinement work happens in person.
